Our office

One of the key elements of our office history are our office premises on Hamburg’s Fleetinsel, which are full of character. We feel very connected to this historic “island” with its inspiring proximity to galleries, ateliers and restaurants. Our office was originally founded as Jan Störmer Architekten, which was for one decade followed by the partnership with Will Alsop as Alsop & Störmer Architects. Since 2009, we are Störmer Murphy and Partners. Since 1990, we have implemented more than 50 sophisticated cultural, administrative and hotel buildings, have won numerous national and international competitions and have received a number of architecture awards.

Our projects

The focus of our activities is the planning of hotels and office buildings. We are also  as comfortable with the design of residential complexes as with the planning of cultural buildings. Our project portfolio ranges from the refurbishment of heritage-listed buildings to new building designs, from interior fitouts to town planning, from feasibility studies to general contractor activities. A firm commitment to technical innovation, high-quality materials and outstanding craftsmanship applies to all of our projects. Good architecture can only be achieved through teamwork! Our strong network of project partners, specialist engineers and precise progress and cost control provides the basis for sound and profitable developments.
