The new office and commercial building “Opera Offices Neo” is situated in a premium inner city location, only a few steps from Jungfernstieg and in direct proximity to the Hamburg State Opera House. It replaces three old buildings dating from the mid-nineteen-hundreds. Eight levels with a total usable floor space of 8,500 sq m are grouped around a semi-circular atrium in the centre of the building, which supplies the office levels with plenty of daylight. The clearly structured façade with a large proportion of glass harmoniously blends in with the surrounding area. The dialogue between the materials used, light Jurassic limestone and coloured special anodised aluminium “Eloxal”, lends the building an elegant appearance. A large rooftop terrace affords magnificent views to the Alster and across the city’s skyline. Opera Offices Neo meets the requirements of the silver certification by the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB).
