To the west of Berlin’s city center, in the Charlottenburg district, is the industrial Mierendorff Island. With the proposed urban development concept, we are addressing the existing block development and expanding it with a high-rise. We propose the high-rise as a free-standing dominant feature with a smaller annex building, which, with thirteen floors, relates to the high-rises in the immediate vicinity and thus makes the new development of the location and the Charlottenburg district recognizable from a distance. Each building in the block development has a gallery with its own character.
