"CreativeBlocks" adds an exciting mix of living and working formats to the Baakenhafen district in Hamburg's HafenCity. In addition to 180 residential units with special offers for community life, a "manufactory" is to be created - a creative centre for craftsmanship and urban production as well as for events and activities. With its differentiated façade designs, the concept creates liveliness and diversity in the multi-faceted urban block structure specified by town planning. The individual building parts each have their own identity. Despite the urban mix, however, the CreativeBlocks create cohesion by means of a common, identity-generating theme: wood as a warm, vibrant building material and future-oriented, sustainable material is intended to shape the supporting structure and also the façades of the residential buildings and ensure a pleasant indoor climate for a healthy living environment.
