Campus Plambeck, Norderstedt

Unsere hochbauliche EntwurfssOur structural design study for the Plambeck housing company. The area is centrally located in Norderstedt-Garstedt. Situated on the site of the former Plambeck carpentry works, a new company headquarters for the housing company is to be built here, as well as a research centre for sustainable living and working environments of the future. In addition to an efficient and deconstructable construction method with timber hybrid elements, the design follows a consistent low-tech approach. The building is ventilated by solar chimneys and heated and cooled by a heat pump in conjunction with an ice storage tank. Compared to a standard office building, it generates a third less energy costs during operation and also reduces CO₂ emissions by a third.
