After a long and controversial discussion about demolition or preservation of the City-Hof - four heritage-listed high-rise blocks from the 1950s - an international competition provided new concepts for the area near Hamburg‘s central station. It marks the end of the historical warehouse zone „Kontorhausviertel“, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. A mixed use of living, offices, commercial, hotel and gastronomy is to be realized. Our design is clearly committed to the Kontorhausviertel and is simultaneously an independent and bold addition.
